Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking for a stable permanent night-shift role within a busy manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join an established production team in Harlow. This is a hands-on position focused on producing accurate sheet-metal components to specification while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
The Role
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to manufacture sheet-metal components from engineering drawings. Your duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC press brake machinery
- Producing sheet-metal components to drawing and specification
- Completing machine set-up and tooling changes
- Selecting the correct tooling for each production requirement
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using measuring and inspection equipment accurately
- Identifying production, tooling or quality issues
- Maintaining accurate production records
- Working closely with supervisors and other members of the manufacturing team
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety
The successful Press Brake Operator will be expected to work accurately, maintain consistent production standards and identify potential quality issues before components progress through the manufacturing process.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this Press Brake Operator position, you should have:
- Previous experience operating press brake machinery
- Experience within sheet metal, fabrication or manufacturing
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong measuring and inspection skills
- Experience setting machinery and selecting tooling
- A good understanding of manufacturing Health & Safety
- Availability to work permanent night shifts
- Experience operating Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic or similar CNC press brake machinery would be highly advantageous.
Shift
This is a permanent night-shift position, so applicants must be comfortable working nights on an ongoing basis.
Location
The role is based in Harlow, Essex and may suit candidates travelling from Harlow, Epping, Bishop’s Stortford, Ware, Hertford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Cheshunt and surrounding areas.
