Guide customers from enquiry to project completion, combining flooring knowledge with strong customer service.

Responsibilities include handling calls and emails, assisting in-store customers, preparing estimates and invoices, managing stock and fitters, and maintaining smooth day-to-day shop operations.

A small independent carpet and flooring retailer based in Hampton Hill, supplying floorcoverings to homes and businesses in the local area. We are recognised for excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship. Serving our community since 1989, we pride ourselves on being a friendly and supportive team. Our customers' first point of contact is usually by a visit to the shop or an online enquiry, both of which we aim to turn into a home visit to estimate and price for new flooring. We have a team of fitters to carry out the work once an order has been placed.

The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding customers from initial enquiry through to project completion. This position combines practical flooring knowledge with customer service, estimating, and day-to-day operational responsibility.

The applicant would be expected to be able to answer the telephone confidently, respond to emails, and serve customers face to face in the shop. Administrative duties would involve creating invoices, typing estimates, tidying the shop, keeping track of stock, and managing the fitters.

We are looking for someone keen to learn all aspects of running the shop with a view to becoming a permanent member of our friendly team able to fully manage the shop.
