Working with a progressive SME Developer who are establishing a new region in Brentwood and are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor. As this is early stages and you will be the sole point of contact for Commercial, you will be given a range of responsibilities and act as the Surveyor/Buyer/Estimator/Head of Commercial.
Some duties include:
- Prepare tender and contract documents
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
- Chair pre-order meetings with sub-contractors and Site Teams
- Produce and issue orders for work to sub-contractors
- Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction
- Value completed work and arrange payments
- Pro-actively manage sub-contractor accounts
- Procure new sub-contractors for tender opportunities
- Perform cost control for risk and value management
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Provide advice on contractual claims
