We are seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join the site team on a major reinforced concrete (RC) frame residential new-build project in East London. This is a flagship scheme involving multiple high-rise blocks and extensive logistics coordination. You will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials to ensure smooth workflow and minimal disruption to the build programme. Key Responsibilities: Manage all materials deliveries, offloading, and distribution across a busy multi-block site Monitor stock levels, track usage, and report material requirements to the site management team Ensure accurate record-keeping of deliveries and materials usage Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and correct deliveries Maintain clear, safe, and well-organised storage areas in compliance with HSE regulations Implement site logistics plans and work closely with site logistics and construction managers Monitor and control waste and promote efficient use of materials Requirements: Previous experience as a Materials Controller or Storeman on a large-scale construction site (preferably RC frame) Strong understanding of site logistics and materials handling in a live construction environment Excellent organisational and communication skills CSCS card (essential) Manual handling and relevant plant tickets (e.g., forklift, telehandler) desirable Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced site environment
