As a Meeting and Events Coordinator, you will work closely with both the front of house and back of house team to ensure our guests not only have a wonderful time, but also make memories to last a lifetime. We welcome applications from candidates with no experience. This role is all about personality and attitude; we can teach you the rest.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emails and calls as quickly as possible to never miss out on potential bookings.
- Ensure teams receive detailed function sheets so everyone knows what's going on when we have events.
- Build great relationships with returning guests.
- Serve as one of the main points of contact for both the client and hotel team on the day of weddings, ensuring the smooth running on the big day.
- Ensure every special occasion guest leaves wanting to return, whether it is a wedding or corporate event.
- Attend weekly operations meetings.
- Cowork with other departments and help each other as needed.
Consisting of both a quintessentially country English Inn and a modern riverside hotel, the Old Swan & Minster Mill offers a relaxed, fun yet professional environment.
SERVICE CHARGE: We pay our team service charge each month. This service charge goes into one pot, and 100% is shared amongst all team members. The service charge can be around £150 a month (close to £2000 per year) over and above base pay for a full-time employee.
