We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance & Ground Supervisor to join our team. With a genuine interest in DIY and enthusiasm, our Group Maintenance & Health and Safety Manager promotes excellent health and safety standards within our hotels, supporting the General Manager in maintaining a safe environment. It is important to us to couple great care with meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
As a Maintenance & Ground Supervisor, you will be:
- Responsible for the upkeep of the hotel and surrounding grounds, undertaking planned maintenance to ensure excellent first impressions for all visitors.
- Ensuring the smooth operation and serviceability of all services such as heating, lighting, and plumbing.
- Maintaining the hotel exterior, including pathways and driveways, ensuring they are clear, unobstructed, and safe.
- Keeping plants hydrated, flowerbeds and potted plants tended, and grassed areas tidy to enhance first impressions.
- Ensuring external lighting and signs inside and outside the hotel are visible, in good repair, and compliant with safety standards.
- Completing essential checks and reporting maintenance defects.
- Engaging proactively with stakeholders to ensure all tasks inside and outside the site are completed effectively, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Carrying out decorating tasks such as painting and wallpapering, minor refurbishment, and maintenance within the hotel.
- Providing out-of-hours emergency service and offering temporary cover when needed.
- Being trained as an active Fire Warden and keeping up to date with policies and procedures.
- Inducting new staff as required.
- Assembling and installing new equipment or goods delivered to the hotel.
- Assisting with fire and water risk assessments and reviews.
- Performing plumbing, joinery, and general building repairs to a high standard.
- Maintaining company vehicles and conducting basic safety checks.
- Working independently to promote safety and independence, confident in fault finding and basic repairs of equipment such as catering and laundry machines.
- Enthusiastic about delivering specialized services and a team player who engages well with others.
