Overview
Location: Amberley Castle, a luxury hotel in the West Sussex countryside. Amberley Castle holds 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes and is a member of Relais & Châteaux. We offer a service charge that is shared among the team; for full-time employees this can be around £300 per month, in addition to base pay. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to run a busy kitchen and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prepare exciting and delicious dishes using fresh ingredients and your knife skills.
- Stay up to date with allergen training and maintain high standards of food safety.
- Work as part of a team to keep the kitchen clean and organized; ensure food is labelled and stored properly.
- Share knowledge with junior staff, including KP’s and Commis, and mentor in collaboration with senior team members.
- Act as the on-duty senior kitchen member in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring continuity of service.
- Maintain flexible working arrangements and rotas to support work-life balance for the team.
- Contribute to a positive, warm, and fun work environment that focuses on guest experiences.

- Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment is preferred.
- Ability to work with fresh ingredients and demonstrate strong knife skills.
