Job Purpose/Overview

Due to growth, we are recruiting for Mechanical Assemblers. This role will primarily undertake the production and assembly of products and components.

What You Will Do

  • Undertake the production and assembly of products and components.
  • Read and interpret drawings/specifications, work orders.
  • Assemble and finish equipment according to information supplied as scheduled by the assembly lead and production supervisor.
  • Perform prescribed operations and follow instructions from the production supervisor and team leader.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a busy environment as part of a team and individually.
  • Maintain assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Determine if adequate information and materials are available to complete tasks as directed.
  • Safely move completed work to assigned location(s).
  • Use hand tools or operate bench mounted air/power assist tools to complete work assignments as needed.
  • Retrieve components and/or supplies from designated stock areas and set up work area in accordance with work orders, job directions and dimensional drawings.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures and reporting any safety concerns.

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and good hand to eye coordination is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Forklift and reach truck license an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and people awareness.
  • Good numeracy and PC skills.
  • Flexibility, an ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities.
