The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established international engineering manufacturer with a strong reputation for delivering innovative technical solutions to customers across the UK and overseas. They are looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and working directly with customers, but is looking to move into a more office-based, customer-facing role. Working closely with both customers and the sales team, you'll provide technical advice, deliver product demonstrations, recommend solutions and help customers get the very best from the company's products. Full product training will be provided. Following successful completion of probation, hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and the sales team.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and customer training.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitable technical solutions.
  • Respond to technical enquiries and assist with troubleshooting where required.
  • Visit customer sites to investigate technical or application issues.
  • Support customer onboarding and ongoing technical relationships.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across the UK and international markets.

About You

This role would suit someone with a strong technical engineering background who enjoys working with customers and communicating technical information in a clear and professional manner.

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally.
