JOB TITLE: Test Engineer
LOCATION: Flintshire
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £45-£48k per annum

We are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our Production team in Flintshire. This role involves conducting rigorous electronic testing practices and procedures, from component level to final assembly, for a full range of products, ensuring strict adherence to production performance, quality, and time targets.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and high-quality production environment.

The Test Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

  • HNC in Electronics or an equivalent qualification in an electronic discipline with hands-on experience.
  • Proven track record in diagnostic fault finding down to component level.
  • Competence in using testing tools such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, and timer counters would be beneficial
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, including engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

The Test Technician role will involve:

  • Identifying and resolving faults through adjustment or repair.
  • Assisting testing processes with basic assembly activities when required.
  • Addressing design or specification non-conformance issues and driving resolutions.
  • Raising non-conformance reports (e.g., Engineering Change Requests) in compliance with quality standards.
  • Completing all activities in accordance with Quality standards and time recommendations on the company ERP system.
  • Conducting electrical/electronic and tank test procedures throughout the production process, including PCB and chassis assembly stages.
  • Utilizing company IT resources (e.g., ERP system, intranet) for tasks such as stock searches and parts inquiries.
  • Building effective working relationships with departments like Manufacturing Engineering, Supply chain, and Quality to resolve test-related issues.
  • Supporting the Production Manager, Cell Coordinators, and Test Engineers as needed.
