JOB- Quality Engineer
LOCATION- Hampshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £38,000-£43,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area to support the existing quality and product assurance activities. This will include; internal auditing both from a business process and manufacturing compliance perspective and coordinating associated actions. Additionally, performing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities with regards to both product returns and internal CoPQ.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified or experience working in similar role
- 2-4 years experience working with ISO9001
- Structured approach to problem solving methodologies
- APQP/PPAP experience beneficial
- Self-motivated individual, able to set own priorities and work independently
- Right first time approach
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement
- Working on NPI products and supplier quality development, implementing new processes
- Hands on role investigating NCR's
- Establish short & long term goals with PDCA methodology
- Collating material compliance data, report writing where necessary
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Overseeing and conducting First Article Inspection Reports
- Supporting customer and 3rd party audits
- Monitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capability
- Monitor output, quality & scrap rates. Improving OTD performance
- Maintain records of products and approved suppliers
- Continually improve QMS processes
