My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Uxbridge area. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and be passionate about Lean Manufacturing and will be mainly responsible for improving the quality of the company’s operational processes and output.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified or experience working in a similar role
- 2 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Self-motivated individual
- Right first time approach
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement
- Support 8D activities on parts connected to internal or supplier quality concerns
- Working on NPI products and supplier quality development, implementing new processes
- Develop and maintain quality assurance throughout the product development cycle for NPI
- Responsible for control plans and QA associated with manufacturing processes which are outsourced
- Collating material compliance data, report writing where necessary
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Champion problem solving with the use of RCA tools such as 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, FMEA
