My client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the South Devon area. The ideal candidate would be to provide support to ensure Quality, Efficiency and repeatability of process on current and new equipment.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- HND/HNC qualified or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science or a related field
- Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment
- Able to read & interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Practical problem solver
- Ability to work individually or as a team
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:
- Verifying manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets
- Developing operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for processes/equipment
- Providing training and guidance to colleagues for existing and new equipment
- Creating production work and test instructions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including quality, design, manufacturing and planning with seamless execution and transition of new manufacturing projects, including NPI/NPD for Production readiness
- Monitoring manufacturing processes, identifying and justifying potential improvements
- Factory floor layouts
- Participating in process improvement teams to resolve issues
- Attending training and participating in Continuous professional development
