JOB- Continuous Improvement Engineer
LOCATION- Blaneau Gwent
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for Continuous Engineer on a permanent basis in the Blaneau Gwent area who has great leadership skills, is experienced with Lean manufacturing principles and methods with a passion for process improvements
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent team leadership skills
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Lean six sigma green belt desirable
- Consultative approach with senior management providing expertise and justification
- Good problem-solving skills, results driven
- Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
- Innovative, creative and good leadership qualities
The Continuous Improvement Engineer role will involve:
- Fosters a continuous improvement culture throughout the business
- Build an ongoing improvement plan for each production area
- Be able to prepare and conduct kaizen events across cross functional teams
- Identify bottleneck areas of the business and drive process improvement tasks to streamline the processes
- Identify any investment requirements by collecting data and preparing justifications and ROI
- Lead the team in the use of all Lean tools and techniques such as 6S, VSM, Kanban, TPM, RCA and DOE
- Develop and deliver appropriate training programmes and skills matrices.
- Take ownership and drive a Lean culture throughout the business
