We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our team in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and process improvement to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of products to a variety of different markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the seamless transition of new products into production.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing robust solutions to production challenges to minimize line stops and ensure on-time delivery.
- Planning and executing process improvements based on Non-Right-First-Time (NRFT) data to enhance delivery times while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborating with Development Engineers to establish effective processes for transitioning new product introductions (NPIs) into production.
- Managing product development projects to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and smooth handover to production.
- Representing the company in product development meetings with customers, both on-site and off-site.
- Supporting Operations in resolving production issues and introducing new production processes.
- Assisting the Quality team with investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements related to new product developments.
- Contributing to the review and enhancement of engineering systems, processes, and tools to drive customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Supporting the identification and development of technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
