My client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area. The ideal candidate would be to provide support to ensure quality, efficiency and repeatability of process on current and new equipment.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering / Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent work-based experience
  • Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience within Lean Manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work individually or as a team

The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  • Verifying manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets
  • Working alongside the Quality Engineers to verify effectiveness of quality control systems
  • Developing operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for processes/equipment
  • Providing training and guidance to colleagues for existing and new equipment
  • Creating production work and test instructions
  • Monitoring manufacturing processes, identifying and justifying potential improvements
  • Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques RCA tools such as Process FMEA, 8D & control plans
  • Factory floor layouts
  • Participating in process improvement teams to resolve issues
  • Attending training and participating in continuous professional development
