Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Food & Beverage Manager to lead the food and beverage operations at Crowne Plaza Belfast, a flagship IHG hotel set within a unique parkland location on the outskirts of the city. The role carries full responsibility for the restaurant, bar and room‑service operation, serving a diverse mix of corporate, leisure, conference, wedding and local guests.
Hours and Pay
Hours: 40 per week
Pay: £17.45 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
People
- Lead, motivate and develop a large, multi‑outlet food and beverage team across restaurant, bar and room service.
- Recruit, train, manage performance and plan succession for departmental leadership.
- Ensure all colleagues meet IHG and Crowne Plaza service standards with a focus on consistency and engagement.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and pride.
- Handle employee relations matters in line with Andras Hotels policy and Employment legislation.
Guest Experience
- Deliver consistently high‑quality food and beverage experiences reflecting Crowne Plaza brand positioning.
- Ensure seamless service delivery across all outlets, especially peak periods driven by conferences, weddings and leisure demand.
- Monitor guest feedback, review scores and brand metrics, drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead handling of complex guest feedback and service recovery.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Sales, Conferences & Events and Kitchen to create a joined‑up guest journey.
Responsible Business
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, health and safety and licensing legislation.
- Champion responsible alcohol service and licensing compliance.
- Drive sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction hatua energy efficiency and responsible sourcing.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Adhere to IHG and Andras Hotels responsible business standards.
Financial
- Own the food and beverage budget, driving revenue performance while controlling costs.
- Manage payroll, food and beverage cost percentages, stock control and purchasing processes.
- Develop and implement commercially focused menus, promotions and initiatives appealing to guests and the local market.
- Analyse financial and operational performance data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.
- Support hotel‑wide commercial strategies, including conferences, weddings and seasonal events.
Accountability
- Accountable for the performance of the food and beverage operation against KPIs, budgets and IHG brand standards.
- Lead preparation and execution of IHG quality audits, EHO visits and internal compliance reviews.
- Provide clear, timely reporting on departmental performance, challenges and action plans.
- Own operational decision‑making within food and beverage, ensuring maintained standards at all times.
- Act as a senior leader within Crowne Plaza Belfast, contributing to wider operational and commercial objectives.

Required Criteria
- Probanana experience as a Head of Department (HOD) or senior leader within a busy, multi‑outlet food and beverage operation, ideally in a hotel environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop large teams and to drive performance, engagement and retention.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen – budgeting, cost control,irio payroll management and stock control.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, health and safety and licensing legislation and experience in audits and inspections.
- Track record of delivering high standards of guest experience and improving service through feedback and performance metrics.
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience within an IHG‑branded hotel or a similar international hospitality brand.
- Experience in a property with a strong conference, events and wedding business.
- Formal hospitality or management qualifications.
- Experience in menu development, promotions and revenue‑driving initiatives.
Skills Needed
Experience, strong leadership, commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and dedication to the highest service standards.
