What is the job?
As a Maintenance Supervisor, your role is to conduct routine maintenance to the entire hotel to ensure the excellent maintenance of the property, the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of our hotel. Your role comprises maintenance and upkeep of the hotel building’s infrastructure and exterior to ensure that the hotel is kept in a safe and well-maintained condition as expected by our guests and brand. Working with the Maintenance Manager you will provide direction and supervision to the team, monitoring various aspects of the day-to-day operations and preparing reports related to department operations.

About The Role
Your day to day:
- Maintaining a safe environment for hotel guests and team members by completing safety checks and updating and maintaining health & safety records.
- Look after the maintenance of the hotel building and ensure that it contributes to a better hotel environment.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the implementation of the maintenance programs for the hotel.
- Working with the Maintenance Manager to create, schedule and oversee the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
- Manage and carry out hotel guest rooms and corridor maintenance program for all finishes, fit-outs and furniture.
- Completing tasks and repairs which are scheduled or required each day, such as painting, changing light bulbs, tightening, or replacing fixtures and fittings, replacing or repairing broken furniture/equipment, and carrying out basic plumbing and electrical repairs where qualified and safe to do so.
- Advocate improvement on work processes and areas to achieve excellent customer services to hotel guestrooms to improve the maintenance standard and efficiency of the team.
- Conduct regular meetings and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to resolve and improve the service of relevant systems within the hotel footprint.
- Organise minor repairs where required by external contractors, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring satisfactory completion of the work.
- Working with the Maintenance Manager coordinate and supervise external contract works as assigned to ensure their works are compliant with the required specifications and standards.
- Inspect all the emergency tools on a regular basis and ensure they are working fine.
- Spot the areas of improvement and take measures to improve those areas.
- Plan the renovations in such a way that it does not affect the hotel operations and does not cause any problems to the guests.
- Troubleshoot the issues and act on the complaints on a timely basis.
- Designate tasks to the other members of the team.
- Ensure all the technicians and the gardener are doing their job properly.
- Assist in the management of company and departmental compliance including H&S ensuring any potential risks are assessed as required.
- Train the staff to act in emergency situations as and when they arise.
- Planning, managing and coordinating projects and maintenance works including budgets.
- Produce information, analysis and reports to ensure line management are informed of project/work progress, problems and agreed resolutions.
- Delivery small scale projects (P&L) including lifecycle works ensuring performance quality levels are met throughout, risks to delivery are treated in a timely manner.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Keep maintenance tools in good condition.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Any other tasks as requested by management.
