What is the Job?

Reporting to the Associate Director – Culture & Talent, this role will lead the development, coordination and delivery of learning and development initiatives across the group. Working closely with the Culture & Talent Officers and operational management teams across all sites, the role will support the continued development of our people by designing and delivering high‑quality training programmes, supporting management capability, and strengthening internal talent pipelines. This position plays a key role in ensuring that learning and development initiatives support the organisation’s strategic objectives, enhance employee engagement, and ensure consistent service standards across all properties. Teamwork is fundamental to the way our department operates, as such you will also support the wider Culture & Talent function when required, assisting with key areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and general HR administration.

About You

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic learning and development professional who is passionate about developing people and building capability within teams. You will have the confidence and communication skills to work closely with managers and employees at all levels of the organisation, supporting them to identify development needs and deliver meaningful learning solutions. You will be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects across a multi‑site hospitality environment and will be comfortable delivering training to groups, analysing development needs, and ensuring learning programmes contribute positively to the overall success of the business whilst also comfortable when dealing with the tasks / duties associated with wider Employee Life Cycle.

About The Role

Your day to day Learning & Development Strategy:

  • Support the Associate Director – Culture & Talent in delivering the organisation’s learning and development strategy across all site
  • Conduct training needs analysis across departments and properties to identify capability gaps and development opportunities

Training Programme Delivery:

  • Design, coordinate and deliver training programmes across the organisation including operational, leadership and personal development training
  • Assist in the planning of training programmes, preparing training modules for the various departments to maintain and enhance the standards of customer care, and the health & safety of guests and team members which can be delivered by hotel staff, external trainers or the Culture & Talent Development Officer
  • Support the development of the Andras Academy training framework
  • Deliver training sessions both in person and virtually across multiple locations
  • In conjunction with hotel GMS ensure that all H&S is carried out systematically, i.e. Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Warden etc

Management Development:

  • Support the delivery and ongoing development of management training programme
  • Assist in developing management capability across supervisory and management levels
  • Work with General Managers and department heads to identify high‑potential employees and support their development

Learning Systems & Compliance:

  • Oversee the administration and utilisation of the FLOW learning platform, ensuring training completion and compliance levels are monitored and maintained
  • Maintain training records and ensure accurate reporting across all sites
  • Monitor completion of mandatory training including health and safety requirements

Talent & Development Initiatives:

  • Working alongside the Culture & Talent Officers with universities and colleges re: student placements, participating in Talent Assessment Hubs, supporting placement students and preparing and delivering the Student Placement Development Programme
  • Support the development talent programmes
  • Assist in building internal talent pipelines to support succession planning across the organisation

Collaboration with HR Team:

  • Work closely with the Culture & Talent Officers to support development initiatives linked to performance management and employee engagement
  • Support HR colleagues with training requirements related to new policies, procedures and organisational initiatives

External Partnerships:

  • Develop relationships with external training providers, colleges and industry bodies
  • Support the submission of external training funding applications where applicable

Reporting & Evaluation:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives
  • Produce reports on training activity, completion rates and development outcomes

Multi‑Site Engagement:

  • Travel to properties across the group to deliver training and support management teams
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across all sites

Tasks / duties associated with wider Employee Life Cycle:

Support the wider Culture & Talent function when required, assisting with key areas of the employee lifecycle including: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, communication, data analysis and general HR administration.

Required Criteria:

  • 2 years’ experience within a Learning & Development, Training or HR role
  • Experience delivering training programmes to groups
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with managers and employees
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment
  • Have excellent computer skills and competent in using Microsoft Office
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
