About the role: Working as part of the Industry Placement team, the purpose of the role is to support students, who undertake full-time vocational and technical study programmes, to participate in high quality work placements. These placements enable students to develop practical and technical skills, substantive occupational work experience and an awareness of working life in the sector which links to their study programme. The role will support securing of placements with employers, preparing students for their placements and monitoring of the students’ skills development while on placement.
The successful applicant will:
- Enjoy working with and interacting with young people
- Possess strong IT, organisational and administrative skills
- Enjoy and be used to working to agreed targets and deadlines
- Have a good standard of education including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
- Have a pro-active and positive approach to enable you to quickly build relationships with both placement representatives and students
- Have a valid driving licence and be able to use their own vehicle, as required, to undertake employment visits
- Ideally have previous experience of liaising with employers
