The Physicist will provide optical expertise across Andor's product portfolio. These products include Spectrographs, Microscopy Systems, Instruments and Cameras. The successful candidate will deliver optical technical support to teams throughout Andor, including product management, product support, quality engineering, customer returns, production NCP support, supply chain/suppliers. The role extends to leading and delivering product enhancement projects; including image sensor and optical instrument optimisation, robust root cause analysis of recurring issues, and product quality testing strategy.

The Physicist will have:

  • 2.1 (or higher) BSc or MSci qualification in a Physical Science or related discipline such as Physics, Electronic Eng or Opto-Electronic engineering, and 3 years relevant experience OR National Diploma (or equivalent) in a Physical Science or related discipline such as Physics, Electronic Eng or Opto-Electronic engineering and 5 years relevant experience. Relevant experience can be gained through PhD studies.

This position is based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite. Please note on this occasion we are unable to provide sponsorship for visa applicants for this particular post, as such applicants must hold the right to work in the UK to be eligible.
