Who We Are:

We’re on a mission to close the world’s tech skills gap. We help organisations navigate the future of technology, combining human expertise, emerging tech and AI to deliver better outcomes, faster. Since 2014, we’ve worked side-by-side with clients to solve complex challenges, build high-performing teams, and create lasting capability. As technology continues to evolve, we believe the most successful organisations will be those that combine the best of both: human ingenuity AND intelligent technology.

That belief is embedded in everything we do. We call it the genius of the AND: deep expertise AND practical delivery, innovation AND responsibility, ambitious work AND sustainable careers. Through our Guide, Build and Equip approach, we help organisations embrace change, deliver meaningful impact, and develop the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly agentic world.

About you:

  • You care deeply about producing high-quality work that delivers real value.
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems collaboratively.
  • You bring strong expertise in your craft, alongside a willingness to keep learning.
  • You communicate clearly and build trust quickly with clients and teammates.
  • You’re pragmatic, adaptable and outcome-focused.
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others grow.
  • You value low-ego collaboration and enjoy working as part of multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations by applying engineering mindsets to system administration topics. You will be responsible for the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and emergency response of our core cloud services.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automating infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, managing container orchestration via Kubernetes, and driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reliability & Availability: Design, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure and platforms in Microsoft Azure.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize, provision, and maintain infrastructure deployments globally using Terraform.
  • Orchestration & Deployments: Manage, secure, and scale production-grade Kubernetes clusters (e.g., AKS), ensuring zero-downtime deployment pipelines.
  • Automation: Eliminate toil by automating manual operational tasks, self-healing systems, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
  • Incident Management & Postmortems: Lead incident response, participate in an on-call rotation, and drive blame-free postmortems to prevent repeat incidents.
  • SLOs & SLIs: Define, track, and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets alongside development teams.

Requirements:

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • Microsoft Azure: Strong hands-on experience designing, provisioning, securing, and maintaining scalable cloud environments across Azure services (e.g., AKS, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, Azure DevOps).
  • Terraform: Proven track record writing modular, clean, and reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to manage cloud estates.
  • Kubernetes (K8s): Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and production administration (including ingress controllers, Helm charts, stateful sets, and cluster security).
  • CI/CD & Scripting: Practical proficiency with shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go) along with modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
  • Networking & Security Fundamentals: Solid grasp of cloud networking (DNS, routing, load balancers, VPNs) and security best practices (identity management, secret management, least-privilege access).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Observability Platforms: Prior experience configuring monitors, dashboards, alerting policies, and traces in New Relic or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
