QHSE Compliance Officer
Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RW
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 45 Hours per week, Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm

We are now recruiting for a QHSE Compliance Officer!
As our QHSE Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:
- Provide QHSE support across all departments to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.
- Conduct regular site visits to support risk assessments, evaluate operator competence, and identify training needs.
- Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments, especially for high-risk or complex activities.
- Deliver QHSE inductions, training, toolbox talks, and behavioural safety briefings.
- Monitor QHSE performance through audits, inspections, and reporting, ensuring timely close-out of actions.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all relevant legislation and internal procedures.
- Co-ordinate and carry out internal audits and manage customer/supplier assessments.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, enforcement bodies, and auditors.
- Promote a culture of individual responsibility for health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, injuries, or illness, and ensure PPE is used appropriately.
- Follow company QHSE policies and procedures and avoid misuse of safety equipment or systems.
- Remain available outside working hours in the event of QHSE emergencies.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar QHSE role, ideally in a similar working environment.
- A full UK driving license.
- Internal auditor qualifications.
- NEBOSH General certification.
