QHSE Compliance Officer

Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RW
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 45 Hours per week, Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm
Benefits: Pension: Employee contribution 2.5% and employer 5.5%, Holidays: 35 days (including bank holidays), Life Cover: Death in Service 4 x salary, Dental and Private Medical Insurance after one year

As a subsidiary of Denholm Energy Services, Andidrain (A Denholm Environmental Company) deploys a team of highly qualified personnel, together with specialist equipment in order to deliver a complete portfolio of industrial cleaning services.

We are now recruiting for a QHSE Compliance Officer!

As our QHSE Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:

  • Provide QHSE support across all departments to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.
  • Conduct regular site visits to support risk assessments, evaluate operator competence, and identify training needs.
  • Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments, especially for high-risk or complex activities.
  • Deliver QHSE inductions, training, toolbox talks, and behavioural safety briefings.
  • Monitor QHSE performance through audits, inspections, and reporting, ensuring timely close-out of actions.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all relevant legislation and internal procedures.
  • Co-ordinate and carry out internal audits and manage customer/supplier assessments.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, enforcement bodies, and auditors.
  • Promote a culture of individual responsibility for health, safety, and environmental best practices.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, injuries, or illness, and ensure PPE is used appropriately.
  • Follow company QHSE policies and procedures and avoid misuse of safety equipment or systems.
  • Remain available outside working hours in the event of QHSE emergencies.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar QHSE role, ideally in a similar working environment.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Internal auditor qualifications.
  • NEBOSH General certification.
