As a Senior Product Engineer, you will lead the transition of advanced optoelectronic integrated circuits from early development through qualification and into mass production. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to navigate complex product lifecycles in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. You will work closely with design, test, manufacturing, and reliability teams, as well as external partners, to deliver high-performance solutions for applications such as sensing, imaging, and advanced automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development & NPI Execution: Drive new product introduction efforts, guiding devices from prototype stages through qualification and into scalable manufacturing. Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Test Engineering & ATE Development: Design and implement advanced automated test solutions, including multi-site test strategies, hardware development, and software programs that optimize efficiency, cost, and throughput.
  • Qualification & Compliance: Develop and execute comprehensive qualification plans aligned with automotive and industry standards. Ensure products meet stringent reliability, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Debugging & Validation: Perform detailed bench-level and system-level debugging to validate product performance, identify issues, and ensure readiness for production environments.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Optimization: Analyze characterization and production data to identify trends, improve product performance, and drive continuous optimization.
  • Failure Analysis & Yield Enhancement: Lead investigations into product failures, implementing corrective actions and driving yield improvement initiatives throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and system-level teams to align on requirements, resolve challenges, and meet key development milestones.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed technical documentation, including test plans, qualification reports, and production release materials to ensure traceability and knowledge continuity.

What You Bring

  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in semiconductor product engineering, particularly within optoelectronic or photonic devices.
  • Test & Debugging Experience: Hands-on proficiency with automated test equipment and laboratory debugging techniques.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights using tools such as Python or similar platforms.
  • System-Level Understanding: Deep knowledge of device characterization, performance metrics, and system integration considerations.
  • Industry Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive or high-reliability qualification standards and processes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with advanced sensing technologies, including photon detection or imaging systems.
  • Familiarity with device architectures and integration within semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Exposure to automotive or safety-critical applications requiring rigorous validation and compliance.
  • Knowledge of system-level applications such as LiDAR or similar sensing platforms.
