The Role: The Vice President (VP) will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s investment activities across Energy Transition and Clean Technology sectors. This role combines deal origination, execution, and portfolio management responsibilities, offering significant exposure to complex, cross-border transactions and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: Transaction Execution: Lead the full lifecycle of investment transactions, including deal sourcing, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and execution. Origination: Actively identify and develop investment opportunities by building relationships with entrepreneurs, advisors, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders. Financial Analysis: Oversee detailed financial modelling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to support investment decisions. Strategic Insight: Develop and present investment proposals and recommendations to the Investment Committee with clarity, depth, and conviction. Portfolio Management: Actively monitor and support portfolio company performance, driving value creation initiatives such as strategic planning, operational improvements, and exit readiness. Leadership & Mentoring: Mentor and oversee junior team members (Associates and Analysts), ensuring high-quality output and fostering professional growth. Market Expertise: Stay informed about market dynamics, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in energy transition and clean technology to identify future opportunities and risks. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management teams, co-investors, and external advisors. Requirements: A minimum of 4/5 years’ experience in Private Equity, ideally with a focus on Energy Transition, Clean Technology, or Industrial sectors. Prior experience in Investment Banking (M&A focus), Strategy Consulting, or other relevant transactional roles is highly advantageous. Proven experience in leading end-to-end investment processes, including origination, due diligence, structuring, and execution. Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data effectively. A strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and act upon value-creation opportunities. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and investment committees. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Genuine passion for the Energy Transition sector and a desire to drive meaningful change through sustainable investments. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is highly desirable.
