A newly launched, entrepreneurial technology investment platform is building its London presence and is seeking an Investment Partner to help scale the franchise. The platform invests deal-by-deal in high-quality B2B software and tech-enabled services businesses across the UK and Europe, backing founders and management teams through growth, ownership transitions and buyouts. Typical equity investments range from £10m to £50m, across majority and significant minority positions, often involving primary and secondary capital. This is a rare opportunity for a senior investor to play a founding role in a new platform, with meaningful influence over strategy, culture and long-term outcomes.

Role overview

The Investment Partner will be a senior, entrepreneurial hire responsible for originating, leading and owning investments end-to-end, while helping to shape the next phase of the platform. This role suits someone who wants genuine ownership rather than hierarchy: sourcing deals, leading execution, partnering with management teams post-close, and contributing to the build-out of a lean, high-conviction investment firm.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a personal origination strategy across B2B software and tech-enabled services.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with founders, CEOs, advisors and intermediaries.
  • Create differentiated investment theses in attractive sub-sectors and proactively map targets.
  • Represent the platform in the founder and advisor ecosystem with credibility and consistency.
  • Lead transactions from first meeting to completion, including valuation, diligence, IC materials, negotiation and structuring.
  • Structure investments across majority and minority positions, including primary and secondary components.
  • Drive decisive execution in a lean, high-ownership environment.
  • Act as a board director or active board member on portfolio companies.
  • Partner closely with management teams on scaling, go-to-market strategy, pricing, talent and operational cadence.
  • Apply pattern recognition from prior tech investments to accelerate value creation.
  • Help shape the firm’s investment philosophy, culture and operating model.
  • Support fundraising and LP conversations where appropriate.
  • Mentor junior team members and raise the bar on judgement, writing and execution.

Candidate profile

  • Senior investing experience in technology and software across growth equity and/or buyout.
  • Clear, attributable track record of leading deals (origination, execution and board-level ownership).
  • Deep commercial understanding of B2B SaaS and tech-enabled business models.
  • Strong founder-facing credibility and relationship-building capability.
  • Comfort operating in a deal-by-deal, entrepreneurial environment with high personal ownership.
  • A repeatable origination edge and strong proprietary network.
  • Experience across both majority and minority investments.
  • Board experience and hands-on value creation mindset.
  • Low-ego, builder mentality with the desire to help shape a platform from early stage.

Why this role is different

  • Founding Partner-level impact in a new platform rather than joining an established hierarchy.
  • True ownership of deals from start to finish.
  • Ability to shape culture, investment approach and long-term strategy.
  • Exposure to a high-quality, founder-led deal flow in European tech.
