Andesite Partners is exclusively advising a high-growth, private equity-backed group operating within the Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) sector on the appointment of an M&A Director. The platform was launched 12 months ago as a build-up and has delivered exceptional momentum in its first year:
- £30m revenue run-rate achieved from a standing start
- £6m EBITDA generated within 12 months

The group is executing a highly active buy-and-build strategy and is targeting £25m+ of EBITDA within the next three years. With capital fully committed and a deep pipeline of opportunities, the business is now also assessing selective acquisitions across Europe. This is a rare opportunity to join a platform at an early inflection point, with genuine influence over transaction strategy, execution, and long-term equity value creation.
Role Overview
The M&A Director will report directly to the Group CEO, a highly accomplished and commercially driven leader, and will assume ownership of the group’s end-to-end M&A agenda. The role has been created due to the volume and velocity of live and prospective transactions, and will be central to delivering the next phase of growth in the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the group’s buy-and-build strategy in line with investor value-creation plans
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise acquisition targets across the UK and Europe
- Develop and manage proprietary and intermediary-led deal pipelines
- Own transactions from initial assessment through to completion
- Build and review financial models, valuations, and investment committee materials
- Coordinate and manage full due diligence workstreams
- Support negotiation of commercial terms and transaction structures
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a senior interface with investors, lenders, and external advisors
- Work closely with the management teams of target businesses
- Partner with internal leadership on capital allocation decisions
Integration & Value Creation
- Support post-acquisition integration planning and execution
- Track performance versus investment cases and synergy delivery
- Help professionalise M&A processes, governance, and reporting as the platform scales
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will bring strong transaction execution capability and experience operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
- Corporate Development / M&A within a private equity-backed business
- Investment banking, transaction services, or private equity with hands-on deal execution exposure
- Experience across multiple acquisitions, ideally in fragmented or industrial services sectors
- Commercial, pragmatic, and execution-focused
- Comfortable managing multiple live transactions in parallel
- Confident operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Ambitious, with a genuine appetite for equity ownership and long-term value creation
