Andesite Partners is delighted to partner with an established private markets investment manager seeking an Investment Associate to join its growing natural capital platform, focused on long‑term, sustainable real-asset investment strategies. The role is based in London and offers exposure to deal execution, portfolio management and fundraising with a strong environmental and impact dimension.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end execution of natural capital investments (e.g. forestry, permanent crops, sustainable agriculture and related real assets) across Latin America.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, sensitivities and scenario analyses for new investments and portfolio assets.
- Lead analytical work on due diligence processes, coordinating technical, legal, tax and ESG advisers.
- Prepare high‑quality investment committee materials, memos and presentations, clearly articulating risk/return, impact and key commercial drivers.
- Monitor existing portfolio assets, including performance tracking, KPI dashboards, valuation support and periodic reviews.
- Conduct market and thematic research on target countries, sectors and counterparties in Latin America.
- Contribute to fundraising and investor‑relations activities through the preparation of marketing materials, DDQ responses and data‑room content.
- Liaise frequently with on‑the‑ground operating partners and management teams.
Candidate Profile
- 3–4 years of total experience in investing, investment banking, project finance, or transaction services, ideally with exposure to one or more of: infrastructure, real assets, agriculture, natural resources, or ESG/impact.
- Strong technical skills in financial modelling, valuation, and transaction analysis, with the ability to work independently on complex Excel models.
- Demonstrated experience in deal execution (buy‑side or sell‑side), including coordinating workstreams and interacting with external advisers.
- Genuine interest in natural capital, sustainable land use, and nature‑based solutions in emerging markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information for senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial team environment and taking ownership of workstreams.
Language and Location
- Fluent Spanish required (written and spoken), with the ability to work on documents and negotiations in Spanish.
- Additional Portuguese is advantageous but not essential.
- Role based in London, with willingness to travel regularly to Latin America for due diligence and portfolio visits.
