The Opportunity
An ambitious, high-growth Private Equity fund is seeking a senior investment professional (VP level or above) to join its expanding team, focused on growth and buyout investments in the software sector.
Despite being a relatively new platform, the firm has already built significant momentum, having closed multiple high-quality investments and established itself as a disciplined, founder-focused investor in the technology space. With substantial capital to deploy and a clear, differentiated strategy, this is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal stage of the firm’s growth.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in originating, executing, and managing software investments, while contributing to the development of the platform and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the investment process, from origination to execution, working closely with the founding partners and broader team.
- Develop and maintain relationships across the founder, advisor, and investor ecosystem to drive proprietary deal flow.
- Conduct in-depth sector research and lead thesis-driven sourcing efforts, with a particular focus on high-growth software and B2B technology businesses.
- Oversee complex financial modelling, investment analysis, and deal structuring to support sound investment decisions.
- Represent the firm at board level and work closely with management teams post-investment to drive growth and value creation.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Act as an ambassador for the firm within the broader technology and investment community.
Candidate Requirements
- A proven track record in growth equity, private equity, or buyouts, with specific experience in software and B2B technology investments.
- Demonstrated ability to source, execute, and manage investments in high-growth software businesses.
- A strong network across the technology ecosystem, including founders, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Deep understanding of software business models, SaaS metrics, and the dynamics of scaling technology companies.
- Strong deal execution capabilities, including negotiation, structuring, and due diligence leadership.
- Experience acting as a trusted partner to management teams and driving operational improvements post-investment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment.
- A team-oriented leadership style and a passion for developing junior talent.
Ideal Background
- VP, Director, or Partner-level experience at a growth equity, private equity, or technology-focused investment firm.
- Prior operational, strategic, or founder exposure within software or technology businesses is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong academic credentials from a leading university or institution.
