Based in the Guildford Sales Office as part of the Sales and Service team, focusing on pre and post-sale advice to online/remote customers. The role requires working in the Sales Office 5 days a week and the candidate must live within a commutable distance of Guildford.
We are looking for someone who understands our customers and can help them find the perfect solution. You must possess excellent product and brand knowledge of acoustic, electric, bass guitars, and amps, and demonstrate a desire to consistently deliver a high standard of customer service. To be fully effective in this role, you will need excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities- Knowledge of the guitar history/heritage of the main brands and related products.
- Knowledge of the construction and features of products.
- Able to explain the differences between brands and products and provide independent advice relevant to the customer’s requirements.
- Able to identify features and benefits that are relevant to the customer over the phone and via email.
- Able to explain the differences between brands and help customers by giving great independent advice relevant to their requirements.
- The ability to absorb new information readily and pass this information on to others.
- Customer service experience, ideally in a retail environment or within the music equipment sector.
- Strong communication skills to converse, build relationships, and interact with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to react to challenges while remaining calm.
- Confidence and organisational skills to manage all aspects of a busy sales environment.
- Previous experience in retail sales or similar environments is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Computer literacy (especially MS Outlook and Excel).
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Working Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday; 10.45am - 5pm Sunday (5-day working week with a day off in the week and working Sat or Sun).
