Due to the continuing success of Andertons Music Co, we are currently looking to add additional high-calibre Guitar Sales Consultants to work in our Guildford Sales Office as a member of our Sales and Service team, who are fully focussed on delivering pre and post-sale advice to our online/remote customers.
We are looking for someone who understands our customers and can help them find the perfect solution to their needs. You must possess excellent product and brand knowledge of acoustic, electric, bass guitars, and amps. You will need a desire to consistently deliver a high standard of customer service.
To be fully effective in this role, you will also need to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:- Deliver pre- and post-sale advice to online/remote customers with a high standard of customer service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of guitar history/heritage of main brands and related products.
- Explain differences between brands and provide independent advice relevant to the customer's requirements.
- Identify features and benefits relevant to the customer over the phone and via email.
- Absorb new information quickly and communicate it effectively to others.
- Interact with customers and staff at all levels, building relationships.
- Remain calm and responsive when facing challenges; manage a busy sales environment.
- Maintain attention to detail and work quickly and accurately.
- Computer literacy, especially MS Outlook and Excel.
- Customer service experience, ideally in a retail environment or within the music equipment sector.
- Knowledge of guitar brands and related products; ability to explain differences between brands.
- Strong communication skills to converse, build relationships and interact with individuals at all levels.
- The ability to absorb new information readily and pass it on to others.
- Time management and organisational skills; ability to work well under pressure.
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Working Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday; 10.45am - 5pm Sunday (5-day week with a day off in the week and Saturday or Sunday work).
