We’re looking to hire a Digital Product Content writer, who can translate their faultless knowledge about guitars, into exciting, enthusiastic and succinct descriptions for the Andertons website, as well as helping to maintain the catalogue, promotions and other pages of our online store.
You’ll be working in our fast-paced web team (based in our Guildford office) administering products, special offers, promotions and pages on the Andertons website. You’ll benefit from being in a talented and innovative team within a family-run business with almost 60 years of heritage selling musical instruments and gear.
You will be:
- A copywriter who lives and breathes guitars and all related guitar gear
- Have some degree of knowledge of musical gear in all other categories of the business – Keyboards, Drums, PA, Recording
- A confident writer with a flair for writing effective, succinct marketing copy to tight deadlines
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating our website day-to-day in order to give our customers the best e-shopping experience
- Summarising & listing products daily with creative, informative, and inspiring copy that helps our customers choose the best products for their needs
- Working with the purchasing and marketing teams to ensure the delivery of effective copy in line with our campaigns and promotions
- Creating inspiring copy for hot-off-the-press new releases in the music instrument world
- Creating long-form copy to support the organic search growth of the website including guides and blogs.
- Providing support to sales teams with real-time website administration
You will need also these key skills
- Excellent knowledge of music equipment including knowledge of the construction and features of those products
- Ability to understand, describe and translate manufacturer’s product data into the Andertons’ “tone of voice”
- Ability to get complex data entry right first time and at pace
- Ability to work quickly whilst maintaining excellent standards
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise
