PRINCIPAL ENGINEER – JOB PURPOSE We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior / Principal Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering function, delivering high-quality technical solutions that meet customer requirements, project objectives and relevant industry standards. As a Senior / Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across complex engineering projects, acting as a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. You will play a critical role in driving engineering excellence, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, while promoting continuous improvement, innovation, safety and quality. PRINCIPAL ENGINEER DUTIES Lead and manage mechanical engineering teams in the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. Provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality engineering solutions are delivered on time and to specification. Coach, mentor and develop engineers, supporting their technical growth and professional development. Act as a primary technical liaison for customers and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships throughout project lifecycles. Review, approve and sign off engineering calculations, specifications, design packages and technical reports. Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes and standards. Support customer engagement activities, technical discussions, issue resolution and business development initiatives. Apply advanced engineering expertise to resolve complex mechanical and structural challenges.
