CAD DESIGN ENGINEER - CONGLETON£35,000-£60,000 DOE
Our client is a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, delivering innovative process solutions across a range of industries.Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join their engineering team based in Congleton.

The Role
As a CAD Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of mechanical systems for the client's THP installations.Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality designs focusing on structural steelwork, pressure vessels and piping systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
- Design pipework, structural steelwork and pressure vessels from engineering calculations and design data.
- Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings.
- Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), bolting schedules and assembly documentation.
- Interpret P&ID drawings and develop accurate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Work closely with Process, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to deliver fully integrated engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing and assembly teams throughout production.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications and company procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design.
- Experience working within process industries such as energy, water treatment, oil & gas, chemical processing or a similar engineering environment.
- Good knowledge of design codes and standards relating to pressure vessels, piping systems and structural steel.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD (experience with other 3D CAD packages will also be considered).
- An HNC, HND, Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000-£60,000 DOE
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
