We are working with a global leading manufacturing/engineering company. We are recruiting for experienced Field Maintenance Engineers to work from their Congleton site but the role will require extensive travelling across the UK, with some European travel from time to time.
Job Purpose
To travel throughout the UK to conduct various tasks including maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant equipment. The role will require being away from home Monday morning to Friday afternoon on a regular basis. You will be responsible for taking machinery apart, checking for damages and wearing parts which will be repaired or replaced. The plant machinery will then be reinstalled.
Duties
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repairs
- Supporting planned maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Dismantling machinery to clean and identify repairs and replacement requirements
- Working on client sites across the UK and Europe, Monday to Friday
- Assisting with equipment installation and problem solving when required
- Completing service reports and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
- Stock control at the Congleton site
- Physically demanding activities
Requirements
- Extensive experience within mechanical fitting or industrial maintenance experience
- Mechanical Fitter, Service Technician, or Maintenance Engineer experience is essential
- Experienced servicing, identifying problems and finding solutions with industrial machinery
- Previous experience within the water, gas or nuclear industries
- Happy to work away from home during the working week
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience dealing with pipes within machinery
- Able to work individually and as part of a small team
- Experienced working within industrial environments
- Able to manage physically demanding activities
Package and Benefits
- Working Monday to Friday over 43 hours
- When off-site hours will generally be Monday to Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am to early afternoon
- Travel and accommodation expenses are covered when away
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Onsite Parking
- £31000 - £35000 (NB: When working away you will be paid hourly)
