CAD DESIGN ENGINEER – CONGLETON £35,000–£60,000 DOE Our client is a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, delivering innovative process solutions across a range of industries.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join their engineering team based in Congleton.

The Role As a CAD Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of mechanical systems for the client's THP installations.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality designs focusing on structural steelwork, pressure vessels and piping systems.
Key Responsibilities Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using Solid Works 3D CAD software.
Design pipework, structural steelwork and pressure vessels from engineering calculations and design data.
Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings.
Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), bolting schedules and assembly documentation.
Interpret P ID drawings and develop accurate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Work closely with Process, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to deliver fully integrated engineering solutions.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing and assembly teams throughout production.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications and company procedures.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design.
Experience working within process industries such as energy, water treatment, oil gas, chemical processing or a similar engineering environment.
Good knowledge of design codes and standards relating to pressure vessels, piping systems and structural steel.
Proficiency in Solid Works 3D CAD (experience with other 3D CAD packages will also be considered).
An HNC, HND, Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
