Our Valuation surveyors provide accurate and reliable valuations. They are responsible for conducting inspections, analysing data, and preparing detailed reports based on the RICS Red Book. This role will support them by gathering market information for residential and commercial properties. All information gathered will be given to the Surveyor to potentially include in their Valuations Report. The final report includes the property’s estimated value, based on the comparables and other factors considered. These steps will ensure that the valuations are accurate and reflect the current market conditions.

You will be required to provide research, comparative, and market analysis, becoming an expert in these areas. Conducting research to identify properties that are similar to the one being valued includes looking at recent sales, rental values, Land Registry data, auction results, and asking prices in the area. You will use tools such as Rightmove Plus and CoStar, and also speak to local Estate Agents via telephone. You will analyse the local market to understand trends, demand, and supply, which can influence the value of the property.

Ideal Candidate

  • You will need a strong interest in property and have an analytical mind with great attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and able to build rapport with the AWH team and external contacts.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and SLAs.
  • Excellent administration skills and able to present findings clearly.
  • This role could suit a Surveyor who no longer enjoys the whole aspect of their role or perhaps someone starting off their career in Valuation Surveying.
  • Degree level education or experience in a similar role.
