A market-leading FMCG business is seeking an experienced Food Safety Compliance Manager to join their well-established and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical or Quality Manager with a strong food/FMCG background to take ownership of compliance and quality standards across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure site compliance with food safety (HACCP), hygiene, quality (BRC), and legal requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and develop Technical, QA, and Hygiene teams.
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Manage internal and BRC audits; act as first point of contact for external bodies (EHO, certification bodies).
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, conduct audits, and manage product specifications.
  • Oversee new product launches, artwork approvals, and ensure products meet required standards.
  • Drive KPIs, reduce complaints, and continuously improve processes.
  • Report non-conformances and key issues to senior management.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in Food Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • HACCP Level 3/4, Level 4 Food Safety Management, and Lead Auditor certification.
  • Proven experience in a technical or quality management role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of UK and EU food law.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
