Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Engineer to join their Production Support team in Telford. This role is ideal for a motivated H&S professional with manufacturing experience who is passionate about driving safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting environmental and quality standards across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and validate safety documentation relating to work equipment.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and occupational health concerns, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging Health & Safety training programmes.
- Conduct risk assessments and detailed hazard analyses, including COSHH assessments.
- Perform regular Health & Safety audits and site inspections.
- Support and assist with accreditation and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Carry out environmental assessments and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote best practice and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Manufacturing Health & Safety environment.
- Strong knowledge of equipment compliance requirements and corrective action processes.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety – desirable.
