Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant (Warehousing & Distribution)
Hybrid – Midlands (3–4 days working from home per week).
This role focuses on delivering fixed-scope Business Central implementations for manufacturing and distribution clients.
The successful candidate will combine strong functional consulting expertise with hands-on warehouse management knowledge, helping customers implement scalable ERP solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects, including solution configuration, data migration, user training, system testing and go-live support.
- Design and configure warehouse management solutions, including locations, zones, bins, warehouse receipts and shipments, put-away and pick processes, inventory management, and handheld/barcode scanning solutions where applicable.
- Advise customers on warehousing and distribution best practices, ensuring solutions support both current and future operational requirements.
- Translate complex business requirements into effective Business Central solutions.
- Configure standard Business Central functionality alongside proprietary implementation methodologies and industry solutions.
- Build strong customer relationships and develop a detailed understanding of each client's warehouse and supply chain operations.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, including documentation, knowledge sharing, user guides and training materials.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 3–5 years' experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV) implementations.
- Experience working for a Microsoft Dynamics Partner or within an end-user organisation in a key Business Central functional role.
- Hands-on experience implementing warehouse management within Business Central, including inventory setup, bins and zones, warehouse receipts and shipments, put-away and pick processes, and lot/serial number tracking.
- Experience delivering Saa S ERP implementations.
- Functional Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Basic and Advanced Warehouse Management within Business Central.
- Good understanding of Sales Order Processing (SOP), Purchase Order Processing (POP) and Finance.
- Knowledge of wider distribution and supply chain processes, including assembly and inventory costing/valuation.
- Experience with handheld warehouse scanning solutions would be advantageous.
