This is an exciting role working for a growing business and therefore there are good opportunities to progress. The right candidate will have worked in the Automotive or Aerospace industries previously in a Quality capacity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production of PPAP’s, ISIR’s and other customer specific documentation
- Maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System - managing annual quality audit and systems
- Create FMEA, Control plans, PSW, IMDS
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Carry out inspections (first-off, last-off, and in-process checks)
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerances
- Support quality requirements like APQP, ISIR, PSW and 8D’s
- Work with production teams to reduce defects and waste
- Keep H S system up to date and support external advisors
- Conduct risk assessments and review safe working practices
- Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations
- Monitor safe operation of machinery and equipment
- Investigate accidents and implement preventative measures
- Carry out internal audits for quality and safety
- Support external and customer audits
- Create and update procedures, work instructions, and records
- Train staff on quality standards and health safety procedures
- Drive continuous improvement using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools
- Producing workflow processes for new product introduction
THE CANDIDATE:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Conversant with the ISO 9001 systems and procedures
- CMM experience
- IOSH Qualification (NEBOSH desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to converse with customers regarding requirements / NPI
Working hours: Four day week – Monday to Thursday, 41 hours per week - 7.45am to 6.00pm (times can be flexible)
