Full training will be provided for CNC programming and other aspects of the role for the right candidate.

The Technical and Production Programmer will be based within a small, well established, fun and supportive team based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The purpose of the job is to provide technical support to internal and external customers on all product and manufacturing-related queries, whilst supporting the wider business with the testing and implementation of new products and material setups. The role is responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising CNC programs and manufacturing information to ensure safe, efficient and right-first-time production.

Responsibilities:

  • Create clear, accurate and production-ready manufacturing information for product ranges not currently available within the systems, ensuring seamless integration into Manufacturing processes.
  • Support the programming and optimisation of CNC machinery (full training provided), ensuring programs are accurate, efficient and aligned with production requirements.
  • Work closely with the Business Systems team to support the testing and implementation of new products, technical change requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of tooling management, monitoring usage and maintaining appropriate stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production and minimise downtime.
  • Work with Sales Order Processing and wider manufacturing teams to assess product manufacturing capabilities, communicating effectively where requirements fall outside established criteria.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal departments, customers and external stakeholders, responding promptly and professionally to technical queries.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach within the manufacturing environment, supporting machine operation and production activities when required.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and manufacturing information to support quality, consistency and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and increase efficiency across programming and manufacturing activities.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
