The purpose of the job is to act as an Accountant for the team to ensure that all required services provided in the office are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Processing and recording receipts.
- Supporting the banking of received cash and cheque payments.
- Reviewing and verifying creditor invoices.
- Handling supplier invoices and responding to related queries.
- Assisting with the preparation and completion of weekly payment runs.
- Generating client statements and preparing ad-hoc reports when required.
- Raising standard and ad-hoc charges, including insurance, utilities, and repair costs.
- Issuing tenant and internal invoices.
- Maintaining and updating client and creditor records.
- Reviewing and processing VAT returns for clients and submitting them to HMRC through MTD.
- Providing support with answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
Candidate Attributes:
- Ideally AAT qualified level 3 or above or studying towards. Similar qualifications will be considered.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with both colleagues and clients.
- The ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Reliable and committed.
- A proactive approach to work.
Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 with the ability to work from home, (part time hours also will be considered for the right candidate).
Salary: Approx £37,000 per annum negotiable + excellent benefits package!
