Founded over 15 years ago, our client has continued to grow from strength to strength and now supply their products to customers worldwide! Their reputation is built on their quality of both product and service, and they are looking for likeminded people to join them on their journey of success. They are currently recruiting for an Accounts Department Manager to join their hardworking and motivated team based near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire.

Your role will be to support the Finance Director by leading the daily accounting operations and managing the existing accounts team. You will work with their internal teams and global network to efficiently resolve any queries whilst ensuring the accounts department is running smoothly. You must be a detail-focused individual with experience and knowledge of managing a variety of accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to the Accounts teams
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations across 3 companies
  • Accurate and timely recording of financial transactions to ensure the accounting software is up to date and accurate
  • Timely collection of debtor balances
  • Production of accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports
  • Preparation of monthly VAT, VIES and EU reporting
  • Assist Finance Director with year-end preparation, including liaising with UK, French & Irish Accounting firms
  • Management of cashflow reporting
  • Remain up to date on any relevant legislation or global developments
Candidate Attributes:
  • Full accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW or ACA
  • Experience within a management or supervisory position
  • Professional, friendly & personable nature
  • Effective planning and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills and use of Microsoft suite of packages

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, average of 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £38k per annum, flexibility for negotiations depending on experience + free parking and inclusion in company social events
