This role offers hybrid working or working from the office plus flexible start and finish times. Excellent permanent opportunity to join our impressive, large, rewarding and expanding Global client working within their Accounts Payable team based in Gloucester.

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will perform support tasks and activities in the accounts payable function. You will validate supplier invoices to system purchase orders to ensure that the suppliers are paid timely. Additionally, you will perform a match between the supplier invoice and system generated PO, ensuring that all approvals are given and procedures are followed. You will maintain invoice and other transaction records and work directly with vendors and internal personnel on statements, past due balances and discrepancies. The vacancy is open to both experienced candidates and graduates. Future study support may be considered later down the line as a perk of the job if the performance of the candidate is exceptional.

Responsibilities:

  • Compiles invoices owed by the company to suppliers or other organizations.
  • Verifies purchase order detail, interprets Levels of Authority and processes invoices.
  • Maintains all invoice and other transaction records.
  • Works directly with vendors and company locations on past due balances.
  • Reviews statements from vendors and keeps the aging within the allowed vendor terms.
  • Follows escalation procedures for exception handling.

  • Attention to detail, problem solving ability, thoroughness, organisation, and general maths skills are essential to the role.

Salary: Approx. £28,636 negotiable depending on experience + 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours hybrid, 2 days in the office, flexible start and finish times!
