Their reputation is built on their quality of both product and service, and they are looking for likeminded people to join them on their journey of success. They are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and driven individual to join them as Business Development Manager based near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire.
You will be required to proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities across the agricultural, construction, and commercial sectors with your main focus being to generate new sales leads whilst supporting administrative and operational tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient sales function. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dynamic and supportive team representing the company at trade shows across the UK and Europe! You will participate in training sessions, workshops and internal meetings and have the opportunity to travel to Italy a minimum of twice a year for client visits and events.
Responsibilities- Proactively prospect potential clients to identify new business opportunities
- Manage new customer accounts for an initial 3-month period before transitioning them to the appropriate sales representative
- Liaise closely with the existing sales team to align on lead development and handovers
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotes and process customer orders efficiently
- Work towards achieving individual KPIs and targets
- Conduct product & market research to support customer needs and sales efforts
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team and assist with wider office duties as required
- Represent the company at client visits, trade shows, and industry events across the UK and Europe
- Attend and contribute to training sessions, internal meetings, and team workshops
- Proven experience working within customer-facing roles
- Prior B2B or Business Development experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst working to deadlines
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, average of 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £35k per annum, flexibility for negotiations depending on experience + performance-based incentives, opportunities for international travel and career development, free on-site parking and inclusion in company social events
