Our client, a global market leader, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team in Ross‑on‑Wye (Herefordshire) on a full‑time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Subsidiary accounting – salaries, journals, accruals, pension, reconciliations, TB, fixed assets and monthly accounts.
- Subsidiary budgeting.
- Financial accounts reconciliations and process support.
- Stock reconciliations coverage.
- Financial projects and general enquiries.
- Audit assistance – year‑end, interim, statutory audits, HMRC government audits and other audit requirements.
- Annual stock check attendance.
- Year‑end reporting and other ad‑hoc reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous accounting experience or currently studying one of the following: AAT, CIMA, ACCA.
- Understanding of SAP and SAGE is an advantage, but not essential.
Hours & Working Arrangements
- 37.5 hours per week with flexible start/finish times and a 50/50 hybrid working option subject to a successful six‑month probation period.
- Note: The role is not fully remote; you will be required to work in‑office during the 6‑month training period and for at least 50% of your hours thereafter.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: £23,900 – £32,000.
