Anderson Knight is currently business partnering with a key client based in the Central Belt who is seeking to recruit the position of Assistant Accountant. The vacancy has become live due to an internal promotion within their finance function. Our client has recently acquired a further business to add to their portfolio of operations.
Reporting to Finance Manager, the main duties of this role will include:
- Monthly Management Accounts preparation
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Cashbooks
- Annual Statutory Accounts
- Fixed Asset Maintenance
- Sales Performance reporting, providing detailed analysis on weekly & monthly sales
- VAT & HMRC returns including all reconciliations
- Provide wider finance team with margin analysis
- Work closely with both Sales & operations to ensure company wide KPI’s are met
The ideal candidate should possess the following key skills / experience to meet the role head on:
- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA candidate who is seeking to become Qualified
- Experience of SAGE and other accounting platforms is essential
- Ability to prepare accounts to at least Trial Balance
- Strong communication and oral skills
- Ability to interact with key personnel therefore you should be a self-starter
- Candidates who are Qualified by Experience are also welcome to apply.
Our client offers excellent hands-on experience, working within a fast-paced environment with great commercial exposure. Our client will also provide full study support to enable all candidates to transition to become a fully qualified accountant. This role offers hybrid working with a pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 working from home with on-site parking available.
