Anderson Knight is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant for a long standing client based in Glasgow. You will play a vital role in a busy finance department which supports all divisions of the group, providing them with management accounts, payroll, accounts payable & receivable, cash flow, cash flow management and tax compliance services.
The main responsibilities that the position entails are:
- Producing management accounts with a high level of accuracy for multiple sites
- Month end close
- Full balance sheet reconciliations, particularly around inventory, labour costing and work-in-progress
- Debt control
- Analysing the month end financial position and making appropriate adjustments if necessary in line with internal procedures
- Posting of monthly payroll/expenses
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels within the group
- Supporting the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial data and variance analysis on a monthly basis
- Deep dive into financial data and become a subject matter expert, providing additional insights
- Quarterly VAT Returns
- Support Financial Controller with year end processes
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA,CA,CIMA)
- Previous experience in a management accountant role, including with month end tasks
- Innovative mind, driving process improvement
- Strong problem solving and organisation skills
