Anderson Knight Recruitment is working exclusively with a business based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, seeking a proactive and confident HR Adviser to join our team in a generalist capacity supporting all site based HR operations. This role will involve travel across Scotland, supporting managers and employees across multiple sites. A driving licence will be required for this position. While this is a standalone site based position, you will be part of a wider HR function and have access to support, guidance, and collaboration with the broader HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters
  • Manage end-to-end HR processes including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Support recruitment activities, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects
  • Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports as required
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business

About You

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally operating in a standalone capacity
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident managing employee relations cases independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland as required
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable
